50th anniversary Pictures
There are two web albums in this site. The first contains pictures taken on Saturday of the celebration at the church and at the house later. The second contains pictures taken the next day when some went to the Garfield Historical Park and to Paine Falls
To run the pictures as a slide show use the links near the top. You can stop the show at any time if you wish to take a longer look at a picture. If you click on the thumbnails on the left you will go to a larger picture. The pictures in the second group are higher resolution so may take a little longer to load. They will appear faster the second time through.
Low Investment Physics Labs
These labs are designed for low initial investment, low operating costs, low busy work, and high educational value. This collection of tested experiments will be useful for high schools with low equipment budgets and general physics non-physics major classes.
Most are designed for individual use with a kit of apparatus given to the individual student. The required reports are designed to ensure that the student does the experiment, notes results in a conventional manner, but does not have to write boring formulistic sections. The instructor is not eliminated but instructor time is spent on the student rather than routine maintenance tasks. The student learns that if you ask nature questions, nature answers.
